Swimming: Abbott swimmers win another meet

The John Abbott swim team once again took top honours at a CEGEP meet on the weekend.

Abbott swimmers collected 811 points, almost 200 more than runner-up Collège Outaouais. The Abbott swim team has now won six consecutive meets. 
 Kirby Coussa led Abbott with first in the 100-metre fly and a second-place finish in the 50 fly. Coussa was third in the 100 IM.


Mike Leites finished second in the 50 back, while Charles Rondo was third in 100 breast.  Other top male performers were Eric Gilmartin, Christopher Drolet and Jordan Lavoie.
 
Top female performers for JAC were Kate Gibson, Christine Wilk,  Alexandra Santamaria, Carol-Ann Dom  and Meghan Vaillancourt.
      
Next up for the Islanders are the regional championships at Vieux-Montréal on March 19.
